Data Synchronisation Studio 2.0 – Use your own SQL Queries
In Data Synchronisation Studio 2.0 we have added the ability for you to connect SQL Data sources to your own custom queries rather than just Tables and Views.
If you use this feature the Data Source will be read-only but since this feature is probably only going to be used for pushing report type data up to SharePoint it’s one-way anyway.
When you connect the data source you can choose the “SQL” tab like this and enter any SQL SELECT Statement.
You can also tweak it if you like from the Data Source properties window like this
This feature has been added to the following data providers for Data Sync
- Microsoft SQL Server
- OLEDB Data sources
- ODBC Data sources
- Oracle
- MySQL
- Microsoft Access
