Use of information

We will use the information you have provided to us to:

  • Process orders submitted by you
  • Customise the service we provide to you
  • Administrate or otherwise carry out our obligations in relation to any agreement you have with us
  • Verify your identity when you require support
  • Contact you to resolve any problems or queries with products or services provided to you
  • Contact you regarding license renewals
  • Send you an occasional newsletter about new product features — you can unsubscribe at any time

When you place an order we log your IP address to comply with EU regulations regarding B2B sales for place of supply VAT calculations and proof. Certain information such as your email address is also collected automatically upon receipt of an email from you.

Storage of data

Enquiries

If you are not a customer and are enquiring about our products and services, your data will be stored for 24 months after your last communication.

Active customers

If you have an active license key, we will keep your data for the duration of your license and until 3 years after the license has expired.

Order data

Data collected for orders will be kept indefinitely for legal purposes.

Your data is stored in a SQL Database that is encrypted at rest.

Disclosure of information

We will not disclose any of your information to a third party unless we are legally obliged to do so — for example, if required by court order for the purposes of fraud or other crime.

You are entitled to request a copy of the information we store about you at any point. Please contact us to do this.

If you have previously agreed to having your data collected by us but have since changed your mind, please contact us to have your data removed. Please note that if you wish to have all data removed we are unable to remove your order history for legal reasons and you will not be able to request details pertaining to your license.

If you have an account on simego.com and would like to be removed, please l contact us and we will remove your stored data from our system. Please note we will retain any order details as previously stated.

Consent

In order to use our products and services you will need to consent to the above policy. By using our website, products, and services you consent to the collection and use of this information by Simego Ltd. You will be required to accept this policy before proceeding with orders, creating or signing in to your account, and when using the helpdesk.

If we change this policy we will inform you of the changes when you next log in to your account, through a request to accept the updated conditions.
